FAMILY SUPPORT COUNSELOR (Part Time-22 hours weekly) The Family Support Counselor provides bereavement support aimed at assisting the families of organ and tissue donors after the death of a loved one. You will provide follow-up services, including bereavement and grief counseling and referrals to appropriate community organizations, primarily by phone.
A Master’s Degree in social work, counseling psychology, or other related field is required. License is preferred. Applicants must have a counseling background. Experience working with death and bereavement issues, families and diverse communities preferred. Excellent communication skills and experience counseling individuals over telephone is required.
You must be able to work at least 22 hours a week over three days (ideally on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).
